Tier A: the answer resolves your aircraft to a registration, because united.com publishes a per-flight WiFi-provider field and the tracker checks every tail against it daily. That is the strongest tier on the site, and it is why a United answer can name a flight while an Alaska answer stops at the aircraft type.
Book the departure with the highest draw rate and keep the runners-up as backups. Aircraft assignments publish about two days out, so at T-48h the estimate becomes a yes or a no: check inflight amenities on your flight, and an equipped one lists Starlink Wi-Fi by name. If you drew a dud, a same-day change costs nothing on Gold and above and $75 otherwise, waived to standby. Starlink is free onboard; the sign-in is a MileagePlus account. Expect roughly 100 to 250 Mbps gate to gate.
